The CC85 is a 2.3 t forklift jib crane, also called a forklift fly jib crane. It hangs on the fork carriage of a 3 t or 3.5 t counterbalance forklift and lifts 2,300 kg at 1.7 m, 1,300 kg at 3.2 m, 700 kg at 4.3 m, and 400 kg at its full 5.4 m reach. The boom has four 1,900 mm sections (two hydraulic and one manual extension), and the crane weighs 560 kg.
Which forklift the CC85 fits
A forklift jib crane has no outriggers: the forklift is its counterweight. That is why the CC85 is matched to 3 t or 3.5 t forklifts, and fitting it to a smaller forklift would tip the forklift forward long before the crane reached its rating. The forklift mast lifts the whole crane, so mast height adds hook height before the boom moves: up to 8,400 mm with a 3 m mast and 9,900 mm with a 4.5 m mast.
How much the CC85 lifts at reach
The 2.3 t rating applies only close to the mast. The CC85 has a 50 kN·m maximum lifting moment, so the load it may lift falls as the hook moves out: 2,300 kg at 1.7 m, 1,300 kg at 3.2 m, 700 kg at 4.3 m, and 400 kg at 5.4 m. Size the crane by the weight you must place at the radius you need, using the load chart on this page, not by the headline rating.
Forklift fly jib crane or mobile crane fly jib?
On a mobile or crawler crane, a fly jib is an extension pinned to the tip of the main boom to gain extra height. A forklift fly jib crane such as the CC85 is a different machine: a complete hydraulic crane that turns a forklift you already own into a small mobile crane for factories, yards, building sites and pits. Compared with a simple fork-mounted jib, it luffs, telescopes and folds back in front of the mast for travel.
What we need to quote the CC85
- Forklift make, model and rated capacity from the data plate
- Mast height and carriage width, plus a side photo of the forklift
- Whether the forklift has an auxiliary hydraulic circuit
- Your heaviest load, the radius it must reach and the highest point to lift to
Our engineers then confirm the model and the installation on your forklift. Figures on this page come from the BOB-LIFT technical drawings.
Need more reach? Compare the CC105, which reaches 6.6 m on a 3.5–4 t forklift (CC105).
